Belgium’s wildest metal band, BARK, returns to the spotlight with their highly anticipated fifth studio album The Time Has Come, set to be released on April 25, 2025.
This marks the band’s second collaboration with the renowned French metal label Listenable Records and solidifies their presence in the global scene.
“The Time Has Come” captures BARK’s relentless energy and raw power, delivering an unvarnished onslaught of heavy riffs, thunderous drums, and guttural vocals. The album showcases the band’s development while staying true to the unfiltered sound that has earned them a loyal following. With a mix of fast-paced anthems and dark, groovy tracks, “The Time Has Come” cements BARK’s reputation as one of the strongest European forces in modern metal.
“This album is a statement,” says vocalist Ron Bruynseels. “We’ve poured all our passion into these songs. It’s about living the moment, confronting challenges head-on. We are telling stories that resonate with the listener because we have lived them firsthand. We’re excited to unleash this beast with Listenable Records by our side again.”
Recorded at their own studio, Jurassic Recordings, under the guidance of guitarist Martin Furia (producer for DESTRUCTION, NERVOSA, TOXIK, CHEMICIDE…), the album features a production that enhances BARK’s signature sound while pushing their sonic boundaries further to create their most brutal album to date.
The debut single “Negativist” offers a glimpse into the diverse yet cohesive journey that awaits the listener.
The band describes it as “A brutal, fast-paced plea to stop making stupid excuses, stop living lies, and see the mirror as your friend.” BARK understands the definition of rock bottom because they’ve lived through it by the hand of the devil. Extreme situations call for extreme actions. This song reflects that mentality.
