Pacific Northwest deathgrind wreckers CAUSTIC WOUND have announced their second full-length album, “Grinding Mechanism of Torment”, set for release on April 25th.
Following up 2020’s Death Posture, this new slab promises even more unrelenting chaos — a high-pressure blast furnace of sonic cruelty forged in pure underground filth.
Recorded with analog fury and zero compromise, Grinding Mechanism of Torment clocks in as a tighter, deadlier assault, merging the blood-soaked lineage of early ’90s grindcore and death metal with raw, punk-rooted extremity. Expect guttural howls, chainsaw riffing, and D-beat demolition stretched over an album that’s likely to melt faces in under 30 minutes.
CAUSTIC WOUND — featuring members of MORTIFERUM, MAGRUDERGRIND, and MORTA SKULD — continues to channel the spirit of REPULSION, TERRORIZER, and early NAPALM DEATH without falling into imitation. This is no nostalgia trip — it’s a vicious continuation of the grind tradition, sharpened for the modern era.
