CHESTCRUSH, an international extreme metal band based in Scotland, has announced the release of their single, titled “Every Single Word,” set for mid-January 2025.
Formed in Edinburgh in 2020, the group quickly made waves in the underground scene with the release of their debut EP, Demo.
In 2021, they unveiled their debut album, Vthelygmia, which garnered critical acclaim within the UK underground metal circles. The following year marked a shift in their line-up and the release of the EP Apechtheia, featuring the standout track “The Despiser”, which was handpicked by Matt Heafy of TRIVIUM for inclusion in the soundtrack of the upcoming film DEATHGASM II: Goremageddon, set to premiere in 2025.
Now, CHESTCRUSH is poised to release their highly anticipated sophomore album titled “ΨΥΧΟΒΓΑΛΤΗΣ”, a Greek term that literally translates to “Soul Extractor,” and is metaphorically used to describe a person or experience that torments you so deeply it feels as though it pulls the very essence of your soul out of your mouth.
“ΨΥΧΟΒΓΑΛΤΗΣ” merges the intense, nightmarish sound that defines CHESTCRUSH adding new elements of dissonance and aggression to their unapologetic highly distorted, blast-beating abhorrence against the world we live in.
CHESTCRUSH is:
Evangelos Vasilakos – Guitars, Bass, Lyrics
Topias Jokipii – Vocals
Robin Stone – Drums
