CONCRETE WINDS are back to inject spikes and barbed wire into the metal scene. Their self-titled third album continues to push the extremes of metal, delivering a savage auditory assault.
Their debut, ‘Primitive Force’ (2019), redefined unholy, grinding death metal, while ‘Nerve Butcherer’ (2021) set new standards in total ear destruction. ‘Concrete Winds’ picks up where ‘Nerve Butcherer’ left off, plunging listeners into a wasteland of darkness and chaos. Expect outrageous speed, heavy rhythms, croaked vocals, turbulent breaks, and repulsive leads, with new layers of staccato riffing and industrial elements.
CONCRETE WINDS defy musical norms, stripping away what’s comfortable and obliterating the concept of “appropriate” in extreme metal. Their sound evolves from influences like MORBID ANGEL, NECROVORE and REPULSION into something uniquely hellish.
Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Lawrence Mackrory and Matti Mäkelä at Rorysounds Studios in Uppsala, Sweden, this album consists of nine intense tracks, totaling 27 minutes of relentless fury. Record will be available on compact disc, music cassette, 12“ vinyl LP & digital download on August 30th, via SEPULCHRAL VOICE RECORDS.
