CONCRETE WINDS – Concrete Winds

concrete winds

The third album by Finnish death metal grinders CONCRETE WINDS kicks off exactly the way we’ve come to expect from them – straight to the point, with frantic, fast-paced sections constantly alternating, pushing you to the brink of hysteria.

The production is top-notch, the musicianship is sharp, and the vocals are on point.

The rhythm section nails every part perfectly, alongside the solo passages, leaving no room for any noticeable mistakes. CONCRETE WINDS didn’t leave anything to chance, giving you zero time to breathe. This is a relentless 25-minute assault on your ears, and at some point, you’ll likely feel as if they’re going to start bleeding. Favorite track: “Infernal Repeater.” Honestly, it made me want to throw everything in my apartment out of the window.

CONCRETE WINDS didn’t aim to create an album for mainstream recognition or accolades, but they’ve certainly created something that will be on heavy rotation for a long time.

While death metal dominates the album, the noise and grindcore sections are executed so well that it’s hard to categorize the record into a single genre. And that’s a good thing, as it’ll appeal to fans of all the styles mentioned.
