DEATHFIEND‘s lethal old school Metal atmosphere return with full force and darker than ever before! Inspired on the early sounds of genres like Death Metal, Black Metal, Doom, Crust, and Hardcore, the band deliver strong and heavy headbanging tunes, with a perfect and well balanced, yet retro sound production, all set to make your brain cells explode! If you can picture a perfect mix of BOLT THROWER, HELLHAMMER, SLAUGHTER (CAN), CELTIC FROST, BENEDICTION, MOTÖRHEAD and UNLEASHED, than you’ll get an idea of which kind of evil awaits you!
DEATHFIEND comes from Birmingham, UK, they were formed in 2019 and feature John Pickering (founding member of Crust legends DOOM as well as from SORE THROAT, CAIN, RAINBOW GRAVE and POLICE BASTARD) along with drummer Andrea Pisu & Rick Farn on bass guitar.
The cover art for “Dark Rising” was beautifully crafted by Belial NecroArts and is set for a release on September 20th, in a 6-panel digipak CD on Gruesome Records. It will also have a vinyl LP version coming out on Phobia Records (date TBA) and on audio cassette (directly through the band).
