Following the critical success of their 2024 album “Coagulated Bliss”, FULL OF HELL return with a new EP titled “Broken Sword, Rotten Shield”, set for release on May 16, 2025 via Closed Casket Activities.
The seven-track release blends violent grindcore assaults with a concept rooted in grief, loss, and fantasy. Vocalist Dylan Walker explains the record as a symbolic exploration of loyalty and mourning, using the imagery of “dog knights” and noble quests to reflect on the pain of losing loved ones—particularly animal companions. The first single, “Knight’s Oath”, comes with a surreal video portraying anthropomorphic warriors and a doomed journey into darkness.
Produced by Kevin Bernstein (MISERY INDEX, PIG DESTROYER), the EP delivers FULL OF HELL’s signature brutality, now paired with haunting moments of melody and atmosphere. It’s another step in the band’s continuous evolution, digging deeper into emotional depth while pushing sonic extremity.
