Since emerging in 2021, GENOCIDAL RITES have built a reputation for their uncompromising approach, channeling the warlike devastation of Ross Bay’s darkest legacies, alongside the sheer sonic obliteration of BLACK WITCHERY and PROCLAMATION. While staying true to their barbaric foundation, this debut album takes things further, injecting the unrelenting force of D-beat and ’80s grindcore influences – think AVSKUM, GBH, ANTI-CIMEX, REPULSION, BLOOD, GOAT VULVA, and CARNAGE’s early demos. The result is an even more punishing, blackgrinding experience that stands apart from the typical war metal assault.
Beyond the sheer sonic destruction, “Genocidal Upheaval of Subservient Abrahamic Law” is a manifesto of chaos and obliteration, drenched in void and chaos magic, psychological madness, total annihilation, and the eradication of the Abrahamic religions. This is not ritualistic fumbling through pig’s blood – this is warfare. Twisted, perverse solos spiral through the wreckage, adding a disorienting edge to the already suffocating intensity.
