Nearly three years after their crushing debut “Persecution of the Living”, Canadian death metal horde GRAVE INFESTATION are back with their follow-up, “Carnage Gathers”.
Set for release on February 28, 2025, through Invictus Productions in collaboration with Dark Descent Records, the album is a vile and uncompromising slab of old-school death metal at its most punishing.
Recorded and mixed by Greg Wilkinson at the infamous Earhammer Studios, “Carnage Gathers” pushes GRAVE INFESTATION’s sound even further into the depths of sonic filth. Eight tracks and 40 minutes of sheer, violent death metal, where the fast parts are faster, the slow parts are slower, and everything is simply nastier. The band’s influences—AUTOPSY, GRAVE, NIHILIST, REPULSION, and ABHORRENCE—are deeply embedded in their sound, but their execution is unmistakably their own. Paired with Misanthropic Art Illustration’s ominous artwork, this release is destined to leave a lasting impact.
### A Legacy of Death and Decay
Emerging from the Pacific Northwest’s underground decay in 2018, GRAVE INFESTATION made an immediate mark with their debut “Infesticide”, released through Invictus Productions and Parasitic Records. Originally a trio, the band expanded to a four-piece for their follow-up “Infestation of Rotting Death”, which further solidified their raw and uncompromising approach.
Since then, GRAVE INFESTATION has spread their aural filth across Canada, the USA, Mexico, Japan, and Europe, sharing their relentless sonic assault through live shows and splits with Me Saco Un Ojo and Carbonized Records. Their unrelenting live performances offer no reprieve—just pure, primitive death metal with an unhinged intensity.
In 2025, GRAVE INFESTATION will embark on their first European tour, bringing “Carnage Gathers” to the stage alongside fellow Canadian death metal maniacs SEDIMENTUM. Don’t miss the chance to witness this merciless death metal force when they storm through your city.
