Montreal’s INSADE have returned to light with a physical release of their unhinged second album, “Human Obsession”, now available on cassette and Bandcamp digital through Crucial Blast.
Originally self-released at the start of 2024 and largely confined to the digital underground, the album now receives its first proper physical format – bringing one of the most psychotic slabs of modern death metal to tape freaks and collectors worldwide.
A violent evolution from their 2022 debut “Ready for Hell”, “Human Obsession” is a brain-melting descent into technical mania, warped OSDM riff worship, and full-spectrum sonic instability. The eight original tracks blend guttural dual-language vocals, powerviolence eruptions, barbaric thrash, and bursts of industrial noise, with new layers of ambient filth and existential dread baked into every grotesque transition.
Exclusive to the Crucial Blast edition is a new bonus track, “Undiscovered Wonders of the Ancient World” – a nine-minute monolith of chaotic grandeur and thrashing melodic death metal. The cassette is limited and comes with full-color artwork, showcasing the band’s aesthetic descent into madness.
