Egyptian MAAT Releaed First Single From The New Album

MAAT band death metal

The Egyptian death metal band MAAT released their first new single, “Swath of Destruction,” from the upcoming album “From Origin to Decay”.

The Egypto-pathologists are known for their brutal, technically skilled, and catchy death metal that will blow listeners away, offering an exquisite preview of the new album which will be released through FDA Records on November 22nd.

Nine new songs + interludes that will iron out the wrinkles from your butt. These almost 50 minutes of the finest, catchy, brutal, technical-classic death metal can be summed up in the album title “From Origin To Decay”.

Everything is created once. And everything will decay. And from all decay, there can be a new creation. About this topic are the stories, told in 9 full tracks, that are carefully arranged with 2 separate atmospheric interludes to provide an aural flow. From the lyrical side, philosophical questions of becoming, being and passing are asked, by using lyrical images and stylistic devices inspired by the mythology and history of ancient Egypt and the oriental area.
Lyrically and musically, the album is centered around the main track “Perennial Bliss”, which reflects on the inner self within time and space and outside of both.
Highly recommended for fans of NILE or BEHEMOTH.
All tracks and lyrics are written by members of MAAT and were recorded, mixed and mastered at Soundlodge Studio by Jörg Uken, who has been working with many artists such as GOD DETHRONED, SLAUGHTERDAY, KEITZER or ANVIL.
