MARROWOMB Unveils New Single “Phantasia Kataleptike” Ahead of Debut Album “Phisenomie”

MARROWOMB

Chicago-based blackened death metal force MARROWOMB has unleashed “Phantasia Kataleptike”, the latest single from their upcoming debut album “Phisenomie”, set for release on February 21, 2025.

Premiered via Decibel Magazine, “Phantasia Kataleptike” serves as the album’s powerful opening track. Frank Lato, the mastermind behind MARROWOMB, explains the choice: “I chose this song to open the album due to its speed, simplistic flow, and memorability. Lyrically, it explores the duality of self and the struggle between different outward personas. Sometimes, it’s difficult to discern which identity feels most authentic, a theme that ties into the overall concept of the album.”

Over five years in the making, “Phisenomie” is the creation of multi-instrumentalist Frank Lato, featuring drum work by the renowned Kevin Paradis (ex-BENIGHTED). The album delivers eight meticulously crafted tracks, blending ferocious riffing, relentless rhythms, and experimental soundscapes, pushing the boundaries between chaos and catharsis.

MARROWOMB was forged in 2020 from the remnants of POLYPTYCH and ENDMEMBER, taking an uncompromising approach to composition and lyrical themes of internal conflict and existential struggle. While the band embraces a straightforward lyrical framework, hidden layers of meaning await those willing to dig deeper into the abyss.

MARROWOMB – “Phisenomie” tracklist:

1. Phantasia Kataleptike
2. Sickness Unto Life
3. Vicarious Visage
4. Inner Ring
5. Black Gossamer
6. Veil of Cold
7. The Mirror
8. Despairloom

The album’s artwork was crafted by Penny Slinger, with layout by Frank Lato and photography by the legendary Peter Beste.

Prepare for an unrelenting journey into the depths of the human psyche – MARROWOMB is set to leave its mark with “Phisenomie”.
