Finnish death-thrash force SCYTHROW is set to unleash their third full-length album, “Blameless Severed Extremities”, on March 14, 2025, through Murder Records.
Emerging from the rotting fields of Lappeenranta, the band has evolved from its early thrash roots into a far heavier and more chaotic entity, delivering a cavernous and merciless sound steeped in Chaotic Death Metal.
Containing eight brutal lacerations, “Blameless Severed Extremities” retains the band’s thrash influences while pushing their sonic extremity to new levels. Expect a relentless mix of putrid riffs, rotting melodies, and unhinged brutality, dragging listeners deep into a maelstrom of filth and decay. To further cement their devotion to absolute sonic carnage, the album’s cassette release – limited to 100 copie – will include a bonus track, a cover of MORTICIAN’s “Chainsaw Dismemberment”, ensuring a mold-ridden, cadaveric experience that leaves no remains untouched.
Recorded between June and July 2024 at Bomb Shelter, Lappeenranta, the album was produced, mixed, and mastered by Arttu Muukkonen, with artwork crafted by Apostle Ink. SCYTHROW continues to refine their sound into something even more violent, more chaotic, and more merciless, carving out a new path of destruction.
