Swiss AMPUTATE Release The First Song From Their Upcoming Album

Amputate Abysmal Ascent

Swiss death metal band AMPUTATE has revealed details of their upcoming new studio album titled “Abysmal Ascent,” which is expected to be released on October 11, 2024 via Massacre Records.

A lyric video for their first single, the album’s own track, premieres below.

The track includes guest vocals by Barbara’s Brawand (CALADMOR), and according to the band, it is “a song about the rise of the unstoppable forces of evil in this world, with nothing less than pure hatred for all of humanity, with dimensions of biblical condemnation and revealing total extinction.”

The release of the band’s third integrated work studio is almost a statement about art itself. With this album AMPUTATE followed the opposite path of many other bands. Their previous concept album dealt with the subject of artificial intelligence, but this time the songs are all separate and cover different, mostly dark themes.

AMPUTATE recorded directly from their amplifiers (without re-amping) and the vocals were recorded as directly and of course, something that the band is very proud of.

“Structible, very real and not overproduction,” says guitarist and singer Nuno Santos.

Clearly sincere death metal, in the way of old school.
