VILE SPECIES – Disqualified as a Human

vile species, Disqualified as a Human

Oops, the Greeks did it again! Less than two years after their debut album “Against the Values of Civilization”, VILE SPECIES returned on September 13th with fifteen new tracks – short but deadly – on their latest album, “Disqualified as a Human”.

Wasting no time on an intro to set the scene or ease us into what’s coming, VILE SPECIES strike directly where it hurts the most – right in the gut. With a mix of tracks in their native language and others in English, the entire album comes across as raw and aggressive, perfectly complemented by top-notch production.

The dual vocals provide a full, powerful sound to the well-executed deathgrind and powerviolence passages. The album kicks off with the title track, unleashing a scream from the depths of their souls, backed by blast beats and slower, grinding sections that immediately signal we’re in for a serious release.

Next up are “Once a Body, Now a Corpse” and “Those Who Act Violent,” true gems on this album – straight to the point, keeping up the relentless pace. “Injected With Apathy” and “Plebs in Despair” (my personal favorite) represent the ultimate display of fury. “Battering Scum” starts off slow, giving you just enough time to take a quick breather (or a bathroom break if necessary – speaking from experience! 🙂 ), before the second half of the track speeds things back up.

“Predetermined Decadence Pt.3” also contends for the title of the best track on the album, as it’s the true epitome of rage. In this latter half of the album, some slower death metal sections take the spotlight, but this does nothing to diminish its impact. On the contrary, the pacing is perfect, and the 20-minute runtime flies by in no time.

Packed with elements that will satisfy currrent VILE SPECIES fans, this album also has the potential to attract a global audience. The intensity, energy, and raw emotion are palpable from start to finish.

The cover art, crafted by Giannis “Art Remedy” Nakos, is top-notch.

If you have the chance to get the LP, don’t miss out. It’s guaranteed to provide the full experience of this explosive release.
