Hidden in the far corners of the isolated West Coast of Australia the future heavy music has never been in such brutal hands.
It’s like every once in a while, a band rises to the surface after lurking below, waiting for the right time to violently breach the calm and destroy all in their wake. And that band is ALLOCER!
They have just released their first single, “The Scavenger’s Daughter”, off their upcoming EP “Worship” due out March 24th and it’s an absolute behemoth of a track. Premiered on Slam Worldwide globally, this is a slice of death metal drenched in world-class songwriting and production. With hints of slam and deathcore, what we have here is all-out sonic warfare, laced with groove and relentless, full-on aggression.
ALLOCER have been working on their craft in the Western stage of Australia for some time now. This is a place of barren deserts stretching far beyond where the eye can see confronting and verging directly on the unrelenting shorelines, wild animals, wild weather, and brutal riffs. It’s a place that can kill you in an instant and is every bit as dangerous as it can be beautiful. It’s not surprising such a ferocious band has spawned from such a place that is as every bit dangerous and the land they call home.
ALLOCER are a band that you could quite easily see as the next global touring force, this is a band just bursting at the seams, ready to take over the Australian metal scene and far beyond. With previous releases such as the single “Crimson Countess” and their first EP, “The First Offering”, already pulling plenty of attention their way, the band continues to prove what a powerhouse they are—following up each release with even more music that pushes the boundaries of the heavy realm.
Their new single, “The Scavenger’s Daughter”, ties in with the darker themes that run through much of their music. It’s written about a medieval torture device of the same name, in which the prisoner is forced into a kneeling position before the device is clamped over their back and under their legs… heavy stuff.
However, take a look at the video clip for the song, and you’ll see these guys are also here for a hell of a good time, getting chased around a dinosaur-themed fun centre as the kids’ entertainer on duty snaps and starts killing them off one by one. It’s brutal, but for the whole family!
